Appreciation & Inspiration
June brought one of our favorite moments of the year – Global Running Day. Across the country, HOKA joined specialty partners and local communities to celebrate the joy of running, welcoming runners of every pace and experience level.
From unique activations to live music and giveaways, our partners created memorable experiences that brought thousands of runners together. Thank you to our featured partners, and the many others who celebrated alongside us, for helping make this year's Global Running Day such a success. Your partnership and shared commitment to growing the running community continue to inspire us.
Pacers – Washington, DC
Nearly 400 runners joined the festivities alongside Pacers, with almost 100% of HOKA demo shoes tried on throughout the evening. HOKA and Pacers teams welcomed participants with exclusive Global Running Day hats, a photobooth, and plenty of community spirit, creating an unforgettable celebration of running together.
Run Newport – Providence, RI
Partnering with Run Newport and Gansett Running Club, HOKA helped bring the RUN AS 401 celebration to life, honoring Rhode Island's proud running culture and the connections built through the sport. The event welcomed 550 participants, with 92 HOKA demo try-ons.
Bull City Running Co. – Durham, NC
Bull City Running Co. delivered a uniquely Durham celebration with handcrafted popsicles, complimentary stretching and massages, and a visit from the city's own Poetry Fox. The event created a vibrant community atmosphere that attracted 225 participants and generated 87 demo try-ons.
Peak Performance – Omaha, NE
Peak Performance hosted a fun-filled community evening featuring HOKA demo footwear, food, drinks, live music, and giveaways. Participants enjoyed burgers, a local DJ, and custom HOKA raffle prizes. The event welcomed 100 participants, resulting in 42 demo try-ons.
Foot Traffic – Portland, OR
Foot Traffic brought together multiple local run clubs for an all-city road and trail run that showcased Portland's thriving running community. HOKA demo shoes and a post-run flower bar added a memorable touch, with approximately 200 runners joining the celebration.
Athlete News
- HOKA's Vincent Bouillard made history at the Western States 100, winning the race for the first time and breaking the course record by 23 minutes. The victory makes him just the eighth athlete and fourth man ever to win both UTMB and Western States. Beyond racing, Vincent is a Senior Product Engineering Manager at HOKA helping bring many of our performance products to market.
- In his 100-mile debut, HOKA athlete Francesco Puppi delivered an outstanding performance, finishing second in 13:51:08 and adding to an unforgettable day for Team HOKA. Learn More: Vincent Bouillard & Kamilah Journet Western States 2025 Pre Race Interview’
- On the women's side, Lotti Brinks continued her impressive 2026 campaign with a fifth-place finish at the Western States 100, crossing the line in 16:04:38. Coming off her victory at the Gorge 100K in April, Brinks bettered her previous Western States performance by more than two hours, cementing herself as one of the sport's rising stars.
